The Readings

The monthly trip-wire log. One reading per month, whether or not anything moved.

A trip wire does not tell you when the intruder arrives; it tells you, forever after, whether you were watching. This is the log. Instruments are spec published; until they are deployed, each observable is read through its public proxy, and the reading says so.

The incident season

Each observable states the thesis claim it tests, the window's facts, and the alignment. The window: frenzy-scale installation against falling measured productivity; the fee base absent exactly where the thesis's clock says it should be; and a demand test running in the adversarial quadrant while the instruments sit at spec published.
