The grid tells you where you are. It cannot tell you when—that is not a defect but a division of labor. For motion you need wires. This essay does not predict the clearing event. It publishes the instruments that would tell you it happened, is happening, or failed to matter. These are not forecasts. They are trip wires. A trip wire does not tell you when the intruder arrives; it tells you, forever after, whether you were watching. And each wire carries a clock—quarterly, event-driven, trailing, gate-based, continuous—because an observable without a review date is a superstition, not an instrument.

The line that matters most is the third. The thesis’s instruments read on the deployment phase—the broad diffusion of verified compute into ordinary procurement—which plausibly arrives only on the far side of the clearing event. During installation, the fee base will look worse before it looks better, because the demand that feeds it is being built by the same event that is destroying the financing that currently funds it. Condition B is the trip wire for the opposite reading: the clearing event came and went, and the fee base did not arrive.
